Training and Competition

The paddling community always welcomes returning paddlers and alumni. There are many opportunities for alumni that may have not been available as a high performance athlete.
If you are interested in continuing paddling (sprint, SUP, surfski, marathon, etc.), CKO Sprint has created an alumni facebook group with the objective of coordinating alumni training groups and competition opportunities for all paddling types.
Let's get out on the water!

Volunteering and Getting on Boards

Volunteers and executive board members are the reason why you were able to enjoy being paddler! As a CKO Sprint alumni, we want to encourage athletes to give back to the sport by volunteering and having a voice on boards.
Volunteering doesn't just have to be safety boat driving at a regatta (although it is very helpful and appreciated!). There are many opportunities for volunteering that you can explore here:

As a CKO Sprint alumni, your experience and knowledge is very valuable on executive boards. Joining a board with you local canoe club, province, or federation is a great contribution to the paddling community and an easy way for you to give back to the sport!
